Patty Sullivan's Bio:

Patty Sullivan has been Public Affairs Director for the Matanuska- Susitna Borough since 2005. During emergencies, Sullivan wears another hat and reports to citizens and employees as the Borough's Public Information Officer.

Sullivan has lived in Alaska since 1995, working as a journalist in Kodiak, Bethel, Anchorage and Mat-Su. For six years Sullivan reported as the Mat-Su bureau for KSKA Public Radio, earning in 2004 a Regional Edward R. Murrow award. She graduated with a B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of California at Davis and with a Master's in Journalism from the University of California at Berkeley. Sullivan's thesis took second place in her graduating class at North Gate Hall.

Working at local government in the Mat-Su has been the most challenging job yet. The Mat-Su has been the fastest growing Alaska community for more than two decades and is nearly the size of Ireland.
