The Matanuska-Susitna Borough holds an impressive concentration of quality waters and diversity of species.

There are over 80 lakes, stocked and wild, all within an hour's drive.  Within six minutes you can hop to new lakes and catch a different experience: semi-remote lakes, hike-in lakes, drive-to lakes.  Rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling, and land-locked salmon are swimming around here getting as big as the lakes will let them.

Join us in the adventure and tranquility. From your canoe, float tube (highly recommended) or shoreline, the world will fall away and you'll focus solely on what's tugging your line.
