Wasilla-Lakes Fire Service Area 130 (Central Mat-Su Fire Department) information
The entire Wasilla-Lakes Fire Service Area is an ISO Class 4 protection area as of June 1, 2006. This means that if your property is within 5 road miles of one of the nine (9) Central Mat-Su fire stations, you receive a Class 4 Protection Rating. Previously, the Wasilla-Lakes FSA was a split rated department with an ISO Class 4/8B. This meant, if you lived within 1000 feet of a fire hydrant you received a Class 4 rate. If you lived beyond 1000 feet of a fire hydrant but within 5 miles of a fire station, you received a Class 8B rating. In all cases, if you live farther than 5 road miles from a fire station, your property receives an ISO Class 10 rating.
