Prior approval MUST be obtained from the Central Mat-Su Fire Department before ANY of the following work begins:

• Construction,
• repair,
• remodel,
• addition, or
• change of occupancy of any building structure,
• installation or change of fire detection and/or suppression systems, or
• installation or change of fuel tanks

Note:  Residential housing that is three-plex or smaller are exempt from this requirement.

The District 1 Fire Chief is the Building Official
